Creativity has been a consistent thread throughout my life. Over the years, I explored a wide range of mediums including quilting, mosaics, stencilling, silversmithing, and embroidery. Colour and texture have always been central to this work and continue to inform my painting practice today.

Through this journey, I developed a personal visual language built slowly over time. When these elements came together on canvas, painting became a way to express emotional depth and lived experience.

Much of my work reflects moments of transition. Places I have moved through, stood within, or held onto. The work is not about recording a scene, but responding to how it felt.

Working primarily with a palette knife, I build depth and movement through layered surfaces that are repeatedly scraped back and reworked. The process is physical and deliberate, allowing each painting to evolve slowly until it finds balance.

I am drawn to the tension between calm and energy, stillness and movement. The surfaces hold traces of both, recording the persistence of making and the rhythm of change.

My paintings are not about capturing a scene, but evoking a sense of it. A place, a memory, a fleeting shift of light. Something familiar, yet difficult to name. Slow art, fast world. Art that feels like memory.
